Hello. I don't like working at The Country House, I LOVE IT!!! It feels like 'home' to me in so many ways. We have a great team of Director's, we are growing together, stronger and better, every day. I left a stable job of 5 years to come work here full-time just 4 months ago. Halina McLean, Executive Director/Administrator is well versed in being our leader. I now feel fully part of a fantastic team and staff! The residents are great!!! It brings much happiness in my heart to care for them, spend time with them, console them, laugh and cry with them, dance, sing and well be their Wellness Director. It is clean building, the food is great (they feed the staff too), we laugh and joke with residents because we are all one family. When we need to be serious we are...it is a fun place to work. Music always playing and great recreation programs. I have even stayed late on a Friday on my time enjoying a special musical recreation program in the lobby! Don't be fooled by the buildings age...it it decorated appropriately for the age group of residents and for a building that is almost my age...it is pretty good!!! We also continue to make improvements on a daily basis. Great physical access to the apartments, all one level and the staff is top notch! Come see the facility 'home' to live OR work. We are always available for tours and interviews. We would love new members in our family!!!

Wanted to publicly thank the staff of Country House for taking such good care of my wife's dad for a week. The staff was very warm , caring and understanding as he is 85 and set in his ways. We felt very comfortable leaving him there, knowing he was in good hands.

I have played the piano here for the residents for a number of years, usually twice a month on Fridays for wine and cheese. I play the good old standards that we both love, They are always smiling, always engaged and always very responsive and complimentary. They sing along and make very interesting requests. One spring a resident asked if I knew any songs about birds, a very appropriate request for spring. After playing Bye Bye Blackbird' and 'Skylark', I tried 'When The Red, Red Robin' for the first time. I became so enamored of it that I worked up an arrangement and play it all the time. So, thanks to them, I learn 'new' old songs all the time. I always have fun coming here.

Unfortunately my dad did not qualify financially to be in the facility, but speaking with the staff on the phone, specifically Carole, was beyond heart warming. They listened when they didn't have to, they offered support in finding facilities that could potentially accommodate my father, and just went above and beyond over a phone call. Thank you!!! If they went the distance on a phone call, I can only imagine how amazing the place really must be.
