Me and my family have been blessed to have our Mom at the Westchester Center for Independent and Assisted Living for the last 8 years. I only have praise for the staff, for the cleanliness and LOVE that is shown for the residents here. I highly recommend this place and really want to thank the staff and management the ongoing care they show to my MOM. My mom loves WC and I really believe it has been her favorite HOME. What a great way to have your later years in life. Loving your HOME. Thank you again! Laura Fenamore

Such a beautiful, welcoming, warming, homey facility . As arriving everyone was pleasant and professional. The place is so big it's a community under one roof! Doctors office, 24 hr country kitchen, sunroom, convenient store, recreation room and so much more! The young lady that took us for the tour was simply heaven sent. I couldn't be more happy with this facility.

My mother has lived at The Westchester Center for a few years now. Unfortunately she will be leaving shortly, as her health has deteriorated and she now requires a new level of care. Making the difficult decision for a loved one to live in a place of institutionalized care is never easy. Aging, in and of itself is difficult. Many people with chronic issues may not have support from their families. The Westchester is communicative, safe, and involved. Not situation is perfect, but your loved one will be safe and cared for well. I thank the administration, the staff, and the residents for the community they provided!

Former resident returning to visit friends here. I would suggest that if you are considering this place for someone you care about then look very carefully. Instead of reading the fancy brochures and listening to the glowing praises by the lady paid to sell you, ask the residents instead. Ask them about the food and ask them about the service by the aides. Most of the workers have been here 1-2 years max, which should tell you something. The good ones get frustrated and leave. Also, ask to see the Franklin building. On the day I visited the hallway was freezing cold and fire doors were closed to conserve heat. I saw several little 90 year old ladies dressed in their outdoor winter coats and gloves trying to maneuver their wheelchairs and walkers through the doors going back to their rooms. I remember this being the case when I was there. The owner (quote taken from another review on this page) says ' At Westchester Center, providing our residents with care in a warm and loving environment is our #1 priority! ' Most of the residents I know would disagree. Very glad I'm out of there.
