This is to publicly thank Ashlee Weiler, a nurse that works in the Memory Care Unit, who ALWAYS goes above and beyond the call of duty. During this time of isolation, she brought in her IPad so that the residents could FaceTime with family. I live in Baltimore and try to visit my mother once a month, and what she did certainly helped to ease the new 'visiting' policy that is so importantly in place to protect the residents. Ashlee often does things out of the ordinary, once trying to locate my mother's lost glasses for 2 hours(recently turned up in a potted plant...). She is a GEM!!

Mom lived in Amberleigh for about 2 years in Assisted Living. Once she adjusted she loved being there. Her nurses, Barb and Meghan were wonderful. They were so compassionate and very helpful especially when Mom had a problem. Mom developed a relationship with them as well as made some good friends that she was sorry she had to leave when she needed more care. I would have loved to have another level of care there for her. I loved that they have apartments to rent out for when I came to visit Mom. Mom worked most of that time to help make the place a better place. One thing she tried to do was to connect the people from the Assisted Living side activities to those on the Independent side. Unfortunately, there was a heavy fire door that was difficult to get through with a walker or wheelchair. Once Stacey became the manager she helped facilitate the door situation. Not only does it look better, but it is much safer as well.
