Don't be fooled by the bells and whistles. If your loved one can't take care of themselves then don't bring them here. This is a senior living complex. The assistance is like this..here is your meds and here is your food.. that's it! If they need further assistance like help in the shower or checked on in their room that is all extra expense. Oh and if they are to difficult to deal with then they over medicate them. My cousin walked in on her own. 3 months later we had to carry her out. Thank god her previous facility took her back.. no bells and whistles but alot of care! No extra expense for helping her walk or shower etc. Within a month she is walking again and talking clearer. She is smiling again and feeling good.

My daughter works there for some time now and she loves it. The management is great she said and the residents are a doll. She is very happy there and is looking forward to growing with the company.

The staff is wonderful with my mom at this assisted living. However, I observed the director talking to a pregnant nursing supervisor and the tone of the conversation was very inappropriate. I witnessed this behavior more than once by the same director to the same supervisor. Directors should be more aware of how they talk to their employees. I don't want this to have an effect on my mom's care.

The Bristal at West Babylon is inclusive, caring, comfortable, and capable. Nearly every individual whom I have encountered, takes a personal interest in responsibility for care. It is, without a doubt, a diamond in the rough for an assisted living community in Long Island.

Our Mom moved into the Bristal over a year ago & loved it from day one .The staff & the residents have become her second family. If we dont call her at 7;30 am we cant reach her until the evening. She is busy playing cards, attending workshops, siniging in the choir or just chatting with her friends. My brothers & I feel secure knowing that she is surrounded by so many caring people. Thank you to everyone at the Bristal West Babylon.- Lisa Benzakein
