I Love This Place! Take The Tour! A Must See! I make it a point to visit the Sodus Bay Lighthouse & Museum every year I go up to Upstate NY! The lighthouse/museum staff are very friendly and informative. You learn about various historical facts and events like the life of the lighthouse keeper then and now, the town, the war of 1812 and so on. You'll see ships navigation tools, tools to run a lighthouse, the 'footprint' of the original lighthouse, etc.The best part is climbing up the spiral staircase to see the actual light and look out to see Lake Ontario, Sodus Bay, the Active Lighthouse and Chimney Bluffs
