My parents became residents of the Baptist home at Brookmeade in June of 2019. They have been there a year now. With little bumps and hits and misses along the way they have settled in great and we are on the same page with the staff. I think they're getting pretty decent care. during this coronavirus situation they have kept the place extremely clean and on lockdown and kept my parents and everybody in there safe. They only had two staff members who had the virus and both were kept out of the facility. Neither one of those people worked in my parents Wing either. No residents got the virus do to their strict sanitary and lockdown procedures. If a resident had to leave and go to the hospital for whatever reason when they were brought back they were kept in a separate Wing to quarantine them for 14 days in case they might have picked up the virus and that way to protect them and the rest of the facility. My father had to do that. And they kept him safe and healthy during that 14 days. I appreciate the hard working people at that facility.

My family member worked there and she said they conceal any incidents for example if a patient has an infection or a patient fall or they get sick from the food, the owner coerce staff to conceal this. The owner only care about making a quick dollar, they don't care about doing the right thing. For example if a patient fell and the owner pressure them not to write it down on chart or tell the family.

No. Please no. Horrible experience for us and our loved one. After only being at Brookmeade 3 weeks, our loved one ended up very ill in the hospital. We got her to another facility and she is getting good medical care. Asked for a meeting with the administrator 3xs and was not given a meeting. Very concerning and upsetting. Check also to see if they are fully staffed if you ever consider this facility. Recommend taking a good look around. Update: Jan 2020-I saw a post stating high ratings coming from employees. I do see the administrator and a Director giving a five star rating. That will raise up the ratings! Interesting.
