Waterview Hills Campus

Over the last 3 years, I have had a few family members there. I would 'surprise' them at all different times of the day. I have NEVER seen anything that I was unhappy with (unlike a few other nursing homes in the area).The aides are very good. There is a charge nurse name Maryann who is the most responsive and caring person. She treats every patient/resident there like they are her own family member.

They have caring aids and nursing staff as well as PT and OT therapists. As is typical in many facilities as this one, the staff to patient ratio could be improved, if they ever improved the ratio then it would be an even better place for loved ones. Knowing the staff is worked hard, the Nurses (Maryanne, Catherine, Lauren, etc) and PT and OT folks (Sheila and Margaret, etc) do a fantastic job. Staff members show that they care and do their best!The facility is well kept. The only complaint is that the food could be improved. It is much better than many other places my family has experienced, however they miss the mark slightly as the food comes in covered and by time it reaches the patient, the sandwiches on toast or bread is too soggy to be as enjoyable as it should be. Other than that, on occasion they may serve a meal that was asked to be substituted but was not. The food is tasty and mostly well prepared otherwise. My family was there during and after flu season, and we never caught a sniffle. The cleaning regimen seem very well done.Some relatives came in from Florida and mentioned Waterview Hills has it way over the decent place my brother in law is in down there.It is not perfect, but is the best I know of.I am sure there are many opinions out there, but my family's experience was not the nightmare we encountered in other facilities.
