The Landing of Poughkeepsie

Amazing retirement (assisted living) community. Lots of activites, caring staff, good food, excellent services and beautiful building too. Highly recommended for anyone shopping for that special place for mom or dad or both!

It's a pleasant atmosphere and the people are very friendly. My Mom is happy there.

Both of my parents are residents in the memory care unit. I looked into a number of other facilities prior to selecting the Landing. I chose the Landing because it seemed to be the best fit for their needs and the facility was well maintained, the staff was very friendly and myself and my parents were treated with respect. Dementia is a challenging disease. Having both my parents at the same stage of the disease made it more of a challenge. The staff at the landing had not dealt with a husband and wife entering at the same time. They were extremely accommodating and adjust their practices to the challenges my parents present. If you are looking for a perfect place, you are going to be looking for a long time. The Landing is not perfect. But they do make every effort to address issues as they arise and are continually trying to improve on the level of care provided. I highly recommend the Landing to anyone looking for an assisted living community. Just tell them that Greg recommended you.
