Lake Shore Assisted Living Residence

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR ENERGY! After I busted my tail to fly to NY and put my mom in this facility, AFTER I made up a beautiful room for her to make her feel at home, AFTER contracts were signed, money was paid and my mom was in for 2 full days they informed me she would not be allowed her car which she still drives. Then they lied to her and said they would re assess her in a week or 2 to decide if she could have her car but told me they would placate her with that story. They also advertise swimming and fishing in their polluted lake. They will cook your polluted catch. My mom is lactose intolerant and they continued to serve her cream soups, pizza etc and then made her wait for an alternative meal. The elevator and public phone had constant problems. The area outside the cafeteria smells like urine. There was a resident cat that roamed the cafeteria waiting for scraps at meal times. I paid a moving company to move my mom out after only 18 days and now I am out the $3200 non refundable community fee. I feel I was duped. Beware! Oh and last year a resident bludgeoned his room mate to death in his room! What a place!

Christine a very nasty administrator threatened to throw my father out for feeding the geese 1 time. My father also had a very nasty roommate that wouldnt let him use the bathroom & cursed at him. They were oblivious to this until I stepped in & insisted he be moved. Also took a awhile til his tv was set up properly. The rule of not feeding the geese was never brought to my attention or my fathers when he moved in. All they cared about was getting their money. If its such an issue they need to hire grounds keepers to keep the premises clean. They also need to be nicer to the geese instead chasing them away. They are a protected species & Gods creatures.

My grandmother was very happy at The Lakeshore Assisted Living Residence. The care she received daily was top notch. She formed so many relationships with the other residents as well as the employees. She enjoyed the activities especially the parties and musical entertainment as it brought back many fond memories of her past. She loved the monthly special dinners.Thank you everyone for making her stay such a happy one.

Lakeshore Assisted Living Residence provides seniors with additional support while still fostering an active lifestyle. This facility offers quite a lot of activities and is also well maintained. Lakeshore provides superior medical service and quality care in a clean and pleasant environment. This facility is dedicated to servicing the needs of the community and especially the special needs of the individual residents and their family members.

My Mother in law is in a caring, loving, and safe environment. Every person that works there goes out of their way to reach out to her. She is busy and not alone anymore. She goes on sight seeing trips, to plays, movies, museums, gets her hair and nails done weekly. The recreation director is genuine and caring and really makes a difference in her day! It was very difficult to make the decision to have her live there, but we are glad we did. She is with her peers and feels connected. We are very grateful to Lake shore!
