Working at UMH, Ive seen a great effort by the leadership team to evolve the company culture to fit the modern employee. They offer a 403b, PTO and a great, affordable benefit program which includes spousal and family coverage. For RNs and LPNs, they also offer a tuition forgiveness program. Most companies that have been around as long as UMH has, are now having to make changes to not only accommodate the current workforce, but also the incoming workforce. As far as I can see, theyre making an honest effort to do so. They have a Clinical Leadership Development program built to help employees grow within the company, they also recently launched a new peer to peer employee recognition program. Campuses frequently have events for employees when certain goals are meant or quality ratings are received from health inspectors. They also have events throughout the year for residents, employees and their family members to attend. Theyre actively making an effort to create a company culture that celebrates the hard work that their employees do.

In the eight months that Ive worked at United Methodist Homes, I can truly say its a great place to work! UMH makes an effort to make sure that their employees are well taken care of and happy. Not only does UMH keep their employees happy, but their residents as well. When visiting our Hilltop Campus, I usually hear residents or their families say how United Methodist Homes has made a positive impact in their lives. United Methodist Homes really does fulfill their caring, connecting, and community motto. In all honesty, its fulfilling to know that UMH makes a great impact not only on employee lives, but residents as well!
