My future mother-in-law needs a place to go. She is currently in a place that is not suitable for anyone and has Alzheimer's. I called WoodCrest and they were happy to help. My Mother-in-law is on Medicaid, and the woman at WoodCrest told us there was one SSI bed available and set up an appt to meet with her. She was welcomed into the place, and we put down a deposit. We just had paperwork to fill out. After a few weeks of not hearing back, we called back to be received by a rude woman, who said that the woman who we spoke to is no longer there and that no one is accepted unless they go through her. So, we set up an appt to meet her and 2 min into the meeting said that my mother-in-law could not be accepted because she was not in bad enough shape. ...What??? This is assisted Living not a nursing home. How is having Alzheimers not bad enough? I am appalled and really upset that they got her so excited about getting her out of the place she is in now and then threw her away like garbage. Where is the wonderful Angel who was willing to take her in to begin with? Those are the type of people we need in assisted living and nursing homes that care for our elderly.

My mother was accepted back in july 2018. Now they called me to let me know she has a delinquent rent amount mounting to about 7 thousand dollars. They change the administrator very frequently nobody can give you on time information and have no bi lingual staff to help with spanish speaking residents needs. Upon initial interview we where told once the Dr. Signs everything will be ok. Well it is not, we were never told she needed to call SSI or SS to have her income raised to pay for her stay, now we come to this unpleasant surprise that she owes all that money, in fact she can be evicted at any time right on Christmas. Very disappointed

If you care about your family member then this is the last place you should choose to place them at. This facility lies about care that they are supposed to provide but dont, fail to notify families when someone is taken to the hospital and overall dont care one ounce about the individuals that live here. Their employees have been found sitting in residents rooms with the door closed watching tv while the residents arent in the room and eating and drinking the residents personal food and drinks in their room. This place should be shut down immediately!
