Excellent Facility

If I could give negative stars, I would. From start to finish, my mother's stay at Cortland (short term after hip replacement) was a nightmare. They were completely unprepared in every way to deal with her needs to the point that she went unmedicated for pain on her first day there for twelve hours. TWELVE HOURS without her prescribed medication after total hip replacement. It also inexplicably took three staff members and several hours to get her a simple ice pack. This meant that she was in too much pain to do her exercises or any movement, which set back her progress. Other than an evaluation, they also provided no PT. When discharged, the staff were unable to figure out which pharmacy they sent her prescriptions to. One is still MIA as I write this and we are scrambling to locate it before the holiday weekend.Having my mom in a skilled nursing facility should have eased the burden on our family and alleviated some of the worry of having a parent who lives alone after a major surgery. Instead, it caused nothing but stress and complications.

Excellent staff! Family like atmosphere!

I have worked at Cortland Park for 6 years and I love it here. It is truly my second home. The residents are like family to me, and the staff are all very helpful, patient, compassionate, and generous people. I feel truly blessed to work here.
