Serious concerns. Residents press the call button and at times is not answered for an hour or more. What if someone is having chest pain or another serious health concern? A majority of the aids say ' I'll be back in a minute' and either never come back or may an hour later. If someone needs to use the restroom and no one comes to help them and and then they have an accident the person is asked why didn't you call?... I have actually heard aids scolding people when residents they have reached their wits end and being to yell for someone to help them. The food is another concern. They have 2 entrees offered on the menu but people are given trays and not given the other option from the menu. When this facility was run as Bikerk menus were set up for the residents to choose ,and now it's like they are children and expected to eat what's put in front of them. Absolutely not acceptable.. These are people that have worth they have raised and sacrificed for their families, that have no idea what happens when they are not there. For the money that people are paying either through medicad or private pay, they should be getting 5 star treatment and enough staffing to take care of their every need. These 'residents' are our family! Treat them like they're yours or move on to another field of work. My mother who gave her entire life for her family lives here because I wanted her close to me and I cannot care for her at home... I'm beginning to regret that decision. Advocate for your family member if you choose to bring them here.
