It's so sweet when they hire an outdoor dj as iI live nearby and enjoy the tunes! the place looks so nice and clean. I love seeing the residents outside.

Our band, The Insolent Willies, had the opportunity to play a 'gig' at the Sentinel, and we had a blast! The residents were warm, receptive and engaging. The Activities Room provided a perfect venue for music, with plenty of room for interacting and even dancing! The staff was accommodating and our overall experience was great. We hope to be invited back!

I recently visited The Sentinel of Amsterdam and was in awe with the beauty of the facility. The grounds are well kept with comfortable seating outside for the residents to enjoy the fresh air. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by happy and smiling staff. The smell coming from the dining room made me want to stay for lunch. The activities room is enormous with many large windows to let the sunlight in. I was taken outside to the garden which the residents tend to to find zucchini, tomatoes, parsley, basil, and much more. A resident named Faith was outside watering at the time. There was also a movie theater, beauty parlor, library, and cafe. There were a few residents sitting in the cafe enjoying their coffee, tea, and snacks while chatting. Everyone seemed so happy and content. I highly recommend this facility if you are looking for a community for your loved one.

The Sentinel of Amsterdam has been a true blessing for our family. We were hesitant to put our loved one in an assisted living facility but once we finally did here at the Sentinel, we wished we did a long time ago. The staff is great all the way from the administration to the aides. The building and grounds is beautiful. We love to come and visit!
