Horrid place they are pretty but the mentality of the place hates outsiders

This is a really nice center. There is plenty of info. Look for the tall round flyer holder. It has the real scoop. (Not just advertising from companies) there is a sheet on gold panning, Jeep trails, hot springs, hiking, events and a lot of other things. There is room to sit and cool if in the air conditioning if you need to. There are restrooms. Behind the building there is a nice photo op bridge over the river. This is where a lot of trails start if you feel like hiking. the people are friendly.

Lots of info, the trail behind it is awesome, and the bathrooms are always clean! We stop in here every time we are in town.

Great place to get information, use the clean restrooms, and get a drink of water.

We summited Mt. Wheeler and when we came down, we came to the visitor center to get cleaned up. It has a clean restroom which we could change in but doesn't have a shower. They have staff on hand to answer any questions and provide maps of Red Rover and Taos. There's also a park out front where your kids can play or you can walk your pets.
