I have gone hiking, camping etc in the picacho area since I was a kid. There are so many uptight holier than thou yuppies building houses it makes me sick. They act as though you can't be in that area unless you have a home there. Public land is public. My truck got stuck in some soft sand and so I asked a woman who was walking her dogs if she had a truck that could pull mine out and she said yes she'd go get it. Intaead of getting her truck or just telling me no she couldn't help, she called the cops on me. The cops didn't understand why anymore than I did. Wasted taxpayer money.
