My Father moved From Indiana to Albuquerque and Paloma Landing, three and a half years ago. He knew no one and was instantly and warmly welcomed into the Paloma Landing community. The staff are amazing, kind and caring people who treat the residents like family. My Daddy loves his home. Hawthorne Properties have also been diligent about keeping their residents safe and protected during the corona virus pandemic and quarantine (and keeping their families informed too)!! Its a top notch independent living senior community. Im grateful to find a residence like this for my Father.

When we moved my mom in, it was a great place -- food was good, management was great. There have now been many changes in managers and the constant change is detrimental. The food has slowly been deteriorating -- cheaper cuts of meat and no use of in-season fruits and vegetables. Have been told that recipes do not come from the cook but come from corporate headquarters. This may be the problem with the food.

I have been a resident of Paloma Landing since December or 2018. I moved in just to be close to my wife who has Alzheimer's and is in a nearby patient care facility. That said, I am glad I made the move and even more so now that the nation is facing a health crises.There has been a high turnover of management, some good and some not so good. But the current senior management team is doing a great job in a tough time and I am glad they are here. I cannot say enough good things for the kitchen staff and the great food they prepare and serve under tough situations. If I don't take great care, I am going to put on some pounds that this 89-year old does not need.Just to be fair, let me say that the cleaning staff do their job with a smile for all. However, how about leaving me 3 candies instead of only two.

We did respond the day we saw your first reply. You may want to check your spam!UPDATE: No response from the owner despite the response on the review. As we were leaving, several residents were disgusted by what they did to my aunt. They all said the management was horrible. Despite being told to leave, they said we should have given them 30 days notice. No refund, no anything. Just find another place to live.SO VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! My aunt, an original and long time resident of 11 years was kicked out by a complaining new resident bully! No efforts to resolve the issue were made, they just believed the new resident. She must be paying more money. How does a grumpy, nothing better to do person have that much power!
