TLC Costa Brava Memory Care

After 6 months of so-so care for my Mom, who suffers with dementia, we searched for a new facility and found TLC. We were immediately impressed by the fact the owners, Shawn & Kerry, are a doctor and a nurse who are on sight. We have been very pleased with the care Mom has received from the entire staff. The one specific area that has been excellent has been the communication from everyone, the care givers and the owners. A question never goes unanswered. By being a smaller facility, 10 residents, it allows the caregivers to give much more personal attention to the residents.TLC is a safe, clean environment where everyone is friendly, caring and kind with my Mom.Thank you TLC.

Dr Shawn McGivney and Kerry McGivney RN (they are brother and sister) came to my Moms rescue. I had been taking care of my Mother and I got to a point where I just couldnt manage all that Alzheimers/Dementia had put on our plate. I needed help and I needed people who really understood not just the disease, but MY Mother, with the disease. Thats a big wish. I feel so incredibly fortunate, so blessed to have found TLC. The staff knows my Mother and all of her little quirks as if they have known her their whole lives. They are kind, efficient, professional and have enhanced the quality of my Mothers life. Nowhere else was I able to find this unique experience. Dr. McGivney, Kerry and their wonderful caregivers are incredible. My Mothers medications are expertly handled with her particular requirements (one size does not fit all with this disease), the food is home cooked and delicious, her room is lovely and always clean, she gets her hair and nails done and its all in the loveliest house, she never feels like she is in a facility. They really make everyone feel so special. I recommend TLC to anyone who is searching for a great home for their family or friend.

My family member was total care. The facility was well designed & very clean. The staff were patient & kind. I would go there myself if I needed this type of care. One area that needs to improve is the meals. Most important important she was showered, always kept clean & had good skin care. Thank you.

TLC Costa Brava is a beautiful home that provides exceptional personalized care for their residents. Dr. McGivney, his sister Kerry and their staff are skilled and knowledgeable in memory care and treatment but, more importantly, are compassionate, kind and always available to their patients and their families. We can't thank them enough for helping our entire family through this transition.

Words cannot describe how great TLC is.After trying out assisted living facilities and being disgusted with them we decided to try a senior home and we never looked back.We saw immediately my dad was getting the best possible care. His health dramatically improved and he became more alert and energetic. He was almost back to his young self again. The owners, Shawn and Carrie, were with us from beginning to end and they honestly cared for my dad as well as our family. They were always available and encouraged us to ask questions or make recommendations.The care takers could not have been better and are exceptional people. They work so hard and so well together and showed my dad love, appreciation and dignity. They all were so loving and caring during my dads life and his final hours. Although he is gone our family is comforted and at peace that his final months were spent at TLC. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
