Blue Sky Memory Care

We took our mother here for assistance to help her pass comfortably. Prior to coming we were told she could have her cat with her as it was her dying wish. Everyone was great except nurse Linda. Linda made such an issue of my mothers cat that they made us take the cat away on the final day after being there 4 days already. They said I either had to take my mother home to die when she was only 24 hours away from death or remove the cat. ( I am not skilled in medical administration of the drugs needed for her to not suffer in passing ) The facility is new, so all their procedures have not been put into place. Linda was talking bad about me & my family to a co-worker & did not know I could hear her. When confronted she said I was just upset because my mother was dying. After calling her higher ups she was nicer, but It made for an already awful situation more stressful. The COO Roxanne said she was so sorry, but they ultimately made us take her cat away. It is very sad that they made us choose between making our mother suffer or taking away her dying wish. We had a letter from the Dr. For the cat along with authorization prior to our arrival. To have this changed in the last minute is heartbreaking. Linda you stole my mothers dying wish. Blue sky, your decision to go back on your word makes me feel you will say anything to get paid to fill a room.

Great place.....its new and nice! Some bad apples ruin it though. If you work with the public ....it may be good to have some people skills. Looking at YOU RN LINDA. (somehow in charge of others) Some day you will be in the situation my family was in. I hope you remember how you acted. I will pray for you. Wish there where more Nancys in this facility. Took my mothers dying wish of having her cat with her when she passed away. We called before we came and blue sky said she could have her cat and 24 hours before her death said we had to take the cat away. We also had a note from her primary Dr. That the cat was approved. Shame on you Blue Sky for lying to us and making an already awful situation a nightmare. COO Roxanne, you said you would help us on the phone, but instead had someone come tell us to leave or take the cat.
