Typical issues, not enough caregivers for the number of residents here. Food is horrible, no flavor at all and the meat is very overcooked to the point where the residents here cannot even cut it with a knife, much less chew it! Have a POA or a Guardianship? Doesn't matter, they don't communicate with the person they should, they instead repeatedly call everyone else or not at all!? TONS of staff turnover, makes it very hard. They are now on even their 3rd acting administrator in just a few short years and all other staff changes constantly. Facilities like these need to pay better and hire more, trust me they make more than enough $$$ to do so!!! I've worked in these environments for many many years. I wouldn't recommend having your loved one here, my father has been here for years and it is just awful.

So far, so good! Communication has been excellent with staff prior to moving my mother-in-law to Fernley Estates. The information received beforehand was clear, and uncomplicated. Gave us confidence that this was the place for mom! The community is clean and efficiently run. Move in day was a breeze as the staff came and asked mom if she wanted to play Bingo while we unloaded her things and set up the apartment. Looking forward to continued goodwill and good companionship for mom!
