Stay away for the safety of your family members. At night staff members sound asleep and the leave the medication room open and the medication cart unlocked. You have to enter a code to get into the building and an alarm sound for 20 seconds. The staff does NOT move. You could be anyone in that building and take medication and they wouldnt know. Very dangerous situation especially for the residents

My loved one lived here for several years until they passed away. The grounds are nice with a central location in the city. This is a satisfactory place to live (retirement community) but I can not recommend it for residents with medical concerns (assisted living). The owner, Virgil, is on a tight budget and corners are cut with medical staffing/training/services and the quantity/quality of food provided at mealtimes. My loved one has received the wrong pills/dosage and medical issues were overlooked or handled poorly. Communication with the families of the residents needs improvement. Most of the staff are friendly although there appears to be a lot of turnover. I do not recommend Orchard Park.

My mom has been living at Orchard Park for over 2 years. It can be a difficult transition but I was very happy how content my mom has become. She is as independent as she wants to be, yet, can walk out her room door and I know people are around, or that assistance is nearby. Recently the staff went above and beyond to help me with some birthday plans that I had to do long distance for my moms birthday!! I was hitting a glitch, and when I shared my problem they just stepped in and solved it.I really appreciate the care, the kindnesses, and the patience the entire staff, as well as Virgil, has personally shown my mom. I believe her life has been extended by being there.

The residents are absolutely wonderful but Virgil is a very cheap man and doesnt seem to respect the residents nor employees
