We've been here about 4 months so far. The management has been great and very helpful with everything. The apartment is really nice and the rent isnt too bad. Great place

I lived here from 2010-2011 and again from 2014-2016, a total of three years. The first year I lived here, I actually really loved the place! Which is why I opted to move back a few years later. The second time I lived here, the experience was overall decent (though there were some mishaps of them applying my automatically withdrawn rent to another tenant and then charging me late fees... after two months of back and forth, we got it straightened out, thankfully). There were definitely a lot of hot tub issues and occasionally the workout room would be down, which was frustrating because these were factors that made me choose Crestview over other properties... but all in all, I would have recommended the place to potential new tenants. After spending a year living abroad and then moving back to Missoula, I considered moving back into Crestview in 2017... that's when all of my troubles with them began. I went in seeking a one bedroom apartment. They only had available units in their older buildings, which don't have AC. After trying to negotiate rent pricing, it was very clear that they were high balling me, charging me $50 more per month than I paid the previous year for a unit that was older and didn't have AC. I was frustrated, but figured I could make it work. I paid the $30 for my application to be processed. Since I'd lived there for three years prior with perfect rental history (rent always paid on time and in full, no complaints, kept the units I was in very clean, even managed to get my full security deposits back each time), the application was approved quickly. I set up my lease signing appointment for four days after my application was approved. After spending some time browsing their River Rock Apartments, I realized I could save $100/month living there, since they also had no AC. I called them to see if there were any available units there and they said no, tried to offer me a more expensive 2 bedroom unit at Crestview for MORE money, but with AC, which I declined... I again asked if they could reconsider the monthly rent fee for this older unit, and they said no and then asked if I had sent over my $500 security deposit... It had to be notarized and in the form of a cashier's check and given to them ASAP... Umm, no? That's the first I'd EVER heard about that?? I told them I was in Kalispell and wouldn't be able to get that done before my lease signing appointment anyway... The lady in the office told me that it was 'standard practice' for them to do if they were holding an apartment for someone. I told her that my lease signing appointment was FOUR DAYS from now and she even admitted that they don't normally require people to send this extra security deposit unless their appointment is more than a week out... Even if I had managed to get to the bank the next day and get a notarized security deposit in the mail to them, it wouldn't arrive before I was scheduled to sign the paperwork anyway, but instead of accepting that as a response, the lady told me that if someone else happened to come in, fill out an application, get it approved, and get their security deposit down before me (again, doing that all in less than 4 days), they could give away the apartment they'd promised me AND set up a lease signing appointment with! In actuality, they knew that I was frustrated with the overcharged rent price (that they'll insist was 'average market priced' - which is a lie - they'd been willing to negotiate with me on rent pricing in the past) and instead of treating me like the excellent tenant I'd been for them for YEARS, they tried to pressure me into doing a ton of extra work to send them money so they could lock me in with a completely unnecessary security deposit that they WOULD HAVE received in four days time anyway. To me, that was a HUGE RED FLAG. I guess staffing has changed since I lived there years prior, and it's VERY clear that the staff now is more obsessed with taking your money than treating you decently. All the current reviews say the same thing. MOVE ELSEWHERE! I did, and I'm so glad!!

We applied for a unit on Friday 5/22. WE MOVED INTO A UNIT TUESDAY 5/26. If that doesn't deserve 5 starts I don't know what does. Also the unit is perfect, more than what we expected. We love it here so much already.

I would never recommend anyone lives here. EVER. This was my first apartment experience and the entirety of management made it awful. If you want to feel like a real person that is seen and heard I promise this is not the place for you. If there is an issue you will be financially charged for walking into their office and told oh we will send an email... repeatedly. Combined with the steep rent for living in a shoebox its a hard pass. These people do not care about their tenants until money is involved.
