My aunt became a resident at Diamond K Lodge after being in Hospice for a number of days. This decision was made because there was no other option in Livingston at the time. As we live 500 miles away, we werent able to tour the facility before my aunt became a resident.We were able to go to Livingston within a few weeks of her moving in. A friend of my aunts had helped facilitate her move from Hospice to Diamond K, and she had kept us informed about her concerns regarding my aunts room and the level of care she was receiving. When we arrived at the facility, we wanted to meet and visit with the owners, but they were in Hawaii. We entered into the basement area, where my aunt was staying. The building smelled old. We were shocked at the condition and size of my aunts room. There was room for a small hospital bed, one chair, and a tiny table. Her television was squeezed in at the foot of her bed. She was paying $3,100 a month for a tiny room and she had to share the bathroom. Also, she was paying an additional $2,025 a month for a personal assistant. Later, when I spoke to one of the owners and asked who this personal assistant was, she stated that there was no personal assistant but that the charge was for all the extra care my aunt needed. When I asked what that extra care entailed, I was told that the cost would probably go down as my aunt became stronger. I visited her one afternoon for 3 hours, and no one came to check on her until right before I had to leave.We had to leave for home after a few days, but neither I nor my aunts friend felt good about her being at Diamond K. Then, a week and a half ago, I received a call at 6 oclock in the morning telling me that my aunt had fallen and they had called an ambulance to take her to the emergency room. When I asked how it had happened, the woman told me that she had been busy with another resident and couldnt leave her and by the time she went into my aunts room, she was on the floor behind the television. When I asked how badly she was injured, I was told she had just cut her arm. I asked if anyone had gone with her to the hospital and she said no. When I asked if she knew how long or if she would be hospitalized, she said that she didnt know. The woman was defensive, monosyllabic, and uniformative.When my aunts friend called from the hospital, she told us that my aunt had life-threatening injuries. Her entire face and head were horrifically bruised, as well as her entire left arm, her chest, and parts of her right arm. However, the doctors main concern was that her brain was bleeding due to her injuries. She is 88 years-old and frail and he told us that if the brain continued to bleed, she wouldnt survive. They gave her intravenous medications to address the bleeding, and we all prayed. It was frightening, frustrating, and maddening that someone who was supposedly being cared for could suffer such horrific injuries. We are not certain exactly what transpired that night/morning, but when I spoke to the owner of Diamond K, her response was that they had been really busy and that my aunt hadnt taken her medications. Neither excuse is valid.My aunt is now in a lovely facility in Bozeman, receiving the type of care all of our elderly deserve. We had lengthy interviews with supervisors, caregivers, coordinators, social workers, and hospice workers at the new facility. They are interested in truly getting to know my aunt and her needs, something that didnt seem to be a priority where she had been previously.All that being said, there were several lovely, caring women at Diamond K who treated my aunt with compassion and affection. The social worker and the hospice employee assigned to my aunt were amazingly attentive and caring. However, these women can not be expected to make up for all the defiencies of the facility itself. Until Diamond K Lodge addresses these potentially life-threatening short-comings, I can not and will not recommend it to anyone.

Diamond K has the best and most thoughtful care I have ever experienced. The owners and the team of workers are dedicated to their clients and go above and beyond their duties to assist their clients. There is a home like atmosphere and I feel very lucky and happy that my Mom spent the end of her life surrounded by the love and care and comfort that the Diamond K team put forward. Thank you Diamond K! You all made her days enjoyable!

My Mom has been living in Diamond K for 6 years and I would not want her to be anywhere else. I have gone to visit her almost every day and so I have developed relationships with the owners, the caregivers, the chefs and the residents. I have been there through short term and long term stays. I enjoy visiting with all of them and hearing stories of their lives. The residents are thankful to have a lovely place to live with compassionate and friendly care. Whether the stay has been long or short, the family and the resident are appreciative for the love and support they received during their stay.

I have a friend of my family that was a resident that passed away there due employees that work there the owners and the employees just work there to get paid they have no comparison at all for the elderly it is sad
