I have visited Valley View Estates and have a family member that works there. The staff are some of the hardest working and caring people I know. They appear to put residents first. I have attended functions at the building and have seen nothing but friendly staff and residents that are happy. I would recommend the facility to anyone needing long term or rehab. The memory care is one of the nicest I have been in. The staff are knowledgeable and patient. Also this facility is a five star facility rated by CMS.

If you have some one in this facility or are there yourself KEEP YOUR VALUABLES WITH YOU!! While my mother stayed there, my purse was gone through and almost $200 was stolen out of it! We had gone to the dining room for dinner, I left my purse under a huge coat in my mothers room. HUGE MISTAKE! When I reported the theft, the Nurses were very sorry this happened to me. They had me write a statement for the administration, I talked to an administrator on the phone and I reported it to the police also. Nothing they could do for me. I did find out that the residents had had items go missing also and they were looking into it. As far as I know, nothing has happened about the thefts. BE AWARE!!! There are no cameras in the hallways in this facility. So no proof of who has been in the room. Thank God my mom is safe and sound at home!! We are watching her accounts closely to make sure whoever was stealing from the people trying to recover in this part of the facility did not take her bank information. I pray for whoever decides to stay there. Im so disappointed in the way they handled these incidents! And There are still no cameras!!

I worked at this place for roughly two months as a CNA, before I quit. Ill start with the positive, then end with the negative. First thing I noticed upon walking into the facility for an interview was the smell. It was very pleasant smelling, and very clean. Multiple residents were moving around, and were all very cheery. The upper management, and most of the staff was excellent. These were some of the friendliest and most humorous people Id met in quite a while. The level of care was adequate. A few issues with keeping incontenant residents clean, but that was a training issue and it was quickly resolved. Now like the other reviewer, I quit in October due to the horrible work experience I had. Upper management is excellent, but a couple of the charge nurses I worked with were god aweful, and made my job unbearable. Even though it was said that everyone was allowed a lunch, I wasnt really allowed lunches, god forbid I try to take one later in the shift. The reaction I got from one charge nurse in particular would have been more appropriate if I had done something more aggregious, like kick a puppy or set the place on fire. I couldnt take one earlier in the shift because of the shortage of help and the number of high level assistance residents, and the incompetence of the CNA they placed me with. It would get to the point where I would hide in the bathroom for a couple of minutes to shove fig newtons in my face, before running back out to answer the call lights. I was met with passive aggression and cattiness by multiple charge nurses. I had multiple residents complain to me about one charge nurse in particular. I confided in upper management and nothing changed, so I had to quit. I enjoyed being a CNA, I had been one for about a year, and I find it rewarding. But I cannot take care of residents, and put my best foot forward if I am constantly being bullied, badgered, and interrogated by my supervisors, and made to feel as if I can do nothing right, and am completely incompetent. Especially when bust my rear, trying to take care of my work, and help others finish theirs. Would recommend, despite my bad experience. Overall the patients are pretty well taken care of, and enjoy a good quality of life.

Please do not place your loved one at this facility. It is dangerous, as they ignore infectious contagious diseases, are short staffed, and the food served does not meet standards for basic nutrition.Management is completely focused on making money and they have senior nurses on staff who are absolutely cruel-as one other review stated, who really isn't caring and affectionate to the residents whatsoever. Lots of wonderful people being 'held hostage' in that place.

I would never recommend this place for residents or for anyone to work here. I just quit here because they are rude, the charge nurse will swear at you, and tell you that 'there just going to fire you anyways' even if you have minimal training or just completed cna training... They give you no direction! They threw me straight into the dementia unit with no help, no direction. For anyone looking to put a family member here don't do it. They leave residents health information in plain site for anyone to see. They violate the hippa privacy laws, and they have no rules for sanatation, they just say 'well we do it this way but when state comes you need to do it the right way' well what is the right way? They don't explain it to you... I'm waiting to hear back from hr and called the good man group headquarters, and I am going to call the state on them as well.
