My mother passed away a year ago last week in the memory care unit. There were about a dozen or so who passed the 2 months before my mother. The unit is understaffed and the scheduled brief changes dont coincide with the needs of the clients. The bathing schedule seems to be understaffed as well. There were 2 fires in the unit the week before my mother passed one of which required the fire department. Things come up missing with zero accountability or security. My mothers 1 kart diamond ring disappeared to her dismay and it was the last piece of dignity and connection to her past or ever being married. How it ever came off her swollen arthritic finger I will never know.With a year of hind sight; I should have taken my mother to an out of town care facility.
