Our family experience has been less than ideal. The plus is that some staff are friendly, and food is good. The negative is seem to be understaffed at times, and management is poor. Recently a memo went out stating families could not even take pictures with their own loved one, and that they should consider when they are visiting their loved one that its like going into a doctor office with a homey feel. Really? For the cost of what loved ones pay would think we would not refer to anything as their home as a doctor office it's their home. Not a very friendly management staff at all to deal with. We have recently found our mother on the floor, then a week later another resident. Very concerning. Dep of Health has informed our family that this facility will recieve a defiency in how they handle falls and will have to do plan of correction. At dinnertime with limited staff a resident was eating a coffee creamer cup staff left out. Thank goodness another residents family member noticed and helped as clearly a choking hazard. Please do your research on cms nursing home compare for any facility. We hope to see improved attention to residents going forward. Our loved one is no longer in this facility and there is a sense of relief for that. The time she was in this facility was some of the most difficult for our family and this facility did not make it easier , the administration made it so much harder. We are seeing improved partnership in her new facility where they are willing even in these COVID times to foster a lot of family time and communication which we did not always get through the management here and we lost a lot of time with our loved one. Please do your research before choosing a home.

If you are reading this.... you are most likely walking a very hard path. My family and I were in the same position a couple of years ago. It was a very difficult decision to place our father in a memory care facility, He did not take it well either! That journey ended today when my father went to be with the Lord. I want to stop now... In my time of grief and thank everyone who works and volunteers here! This place if filled with caring people who dedicate all that they are to fulfill their calling in life! It was a true honor to watch them love and care for my father. I have heard the saying 'the devil is in the details... I witnessed God in the details in this place! From the greeter at the door to the cooks, aides, nurses, activities director and the director ALL cared for my father like they were their own grandfather! I lost my father today. But as evil as dementia is, God is better and provided these blessed souls to allow my father to die with the dignity he deserved!
