Carrie Elligson Geitner Home

For all those looking for a proper home for their loved ones-please look ELSEWHERE. To begin, as soon as you walk in, the facility seems barren and depressing-there is no welcome. All visitation seems suspicious to the (few) staff. I, personally, had a friend at this facility for a time and what they witnessed here was appalling. The elders were obviously neglected, their nails were long and dirty, hair unwashed and they wore the same clothes day after day. Upon our visits with my friend, we saw a number of rather shady elders who preyed on those of weaker mental states, taking money among other things from them. No real order was instituted and this malicious behavior continued-even against my friend. This facility is for the destitute, obviously the people here have nowhere else to go and the staff are fully aware of this, verbally abusing/manipulating the elders in full view of others regularly. Geitner Home is run more like a seedy hotel where people can truely come and go as the please, bringing all manner of substances back into the Home.Upon what I have witnessed, I desperately saught to remove my friend from this home and managed to do so-but not before they were stolen from and exploited (all which fell on the deaf ears of the staff). I ask if anyone is looking at this Home to place family, they instantly LOOK INTO OTHER HOMES. After the lack of staffing and care of hygiene witnessed here etc., any other nursing home in the state is better. It would be irresponsible to leave anyone here for any length of time.

Been with organization for 29 years treated with respect. Residents are very happy. Great place to be.

Very unprofessional staff The nurse treat those people like animals ,I feel there only there for a pay check ,I really don't think everyone has the proper license to be practicing the field there in ,Very disrespectful staff I hate this place the Better Business bureau needs to tear it down I called Elliot Davis I have a appointment with him Monday I truly don't appreciate how they treat these people
