Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage

Gained a different perspective. Learned a lot. Friendly people.

I first visited Dancing Rabbit back in 2014 for three weeks. It didn't go very well for me there... I was going through some emotional problems and mental trauma at the time so it probably wasn't best for me to even visit in the first place.That being said I don't think most people were very good here when it came to me as a person. I felt very poorly misunderstood and wasn't really treated right especially when it did came to my mental state. Just didn't get the help that I needed more or less...The ecovillage itself looking back on the whole experience I don't think is a good place for most people to go to because it's not much of a 'community' there. You need to support yourself there on your own otherwise you can't stay... Plus it's expensive which makes it unfair to most other people who are trying to live a more free lifestyle. I feel that they only want certain people to be there only. They don't want just anyone hence why the place is structured in a way that they control of who gets to visit and for how long. It's not very open... Which to me is a problem. Somewhat elitist...With me personally it got to the point that they didn't want me there and they all got together to buy me a train ticket just to get rid of me. They didn't care that they were condemning me to homelessness along with someone else who decided to come with me and it was just quite apathetic. Pure human apathy that shouldn't be tolerated...Don't waste your time and energy with this place... It's not worth it.Thanks.

Dancing rabbit deserves a 4.7+ rating, like everything else it is not perfect. But doesn't have it does an reward winning example of how a consensus sub community/culture can grow and develop into something that is original and trailblazing to any other hopeful cooperatives!*Knowledge: I moved to dancing rabbit in 2005 when I was 10 years old and live there until I was 17.

Its like a small slice of heaven.
