Great Oaks Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center

My dad was in there for 3 days. Everyday I had to call up there about something. One time my dad called me and told me he used it on himself and I had to call them to go change him. Another time he was hurting and his been trying to get ahold of a nurse and couldn't so I had to call and talk to them about it. When I went and got his stuff from there they kept some of his stuff. I'm still fighting to get his stuff back.

Do NOT send your loved ones here!!!!! I beg you. My grandmother was there during this pandemic which gave this awful place more of an advantage to neglect anyone that entered! The staff there is so rude and will tell you lies!!! They deserve the worst reputation there is to give!!!!

Great facility!! Very friendly staff, nice, clean facility. Best rehab department in north MS!!

On April 16, 2020 my Mom fell and cracked a vertebra in her back. She was admitted in the hospital for 7 days for rehabilitation. After 7 days she still needed more Therapy. I decided to let hospital transfer her to a Short Term Rehabilitation Center. When she arrived she was in great health besides her back.I called the Nurse daily to check on her. Mom would call me as well. 2 weeks later I could not get her on her phone. No call, No text. I began to get very concern. Remember I called every day and I was always told she is doing great. On May 3,2020 I went to go see her only through the window. She smiled and she looked ok. The next week came still no calls no text. I called the nurse and requested a Urine sample thought maybe she had a UTI. Nurse said they would get right to it. On Sunday May 10,2020 Mothers Day I went to her window and she did not recognize me. She look like a person that was on Their death bed, Very malnourished, eyes sunken, lips severely chapped. I cried the like a baby. I knew my Mom was extremely sick. That afternoon around 6:00 I received a phone call from facility letting me know my Mom had fell. The next morning I called the DON and requested that the Doctor call me ASAP. Doctor called and told me my Mom has Pneumonia. I said what? When did this happened. Doctor: last Thursday! I said very loudly get my Mom to the hospital now! Within 30 minutes my Mom was at the ER. ER Doctor called, Mom was being admitted to ICU the next 24-72 hrs were very critical. Acute Renal Failure due to a severe UTI, blood pressure very very low, Malnourished and severely dehydrated. Septic Shock all over her Body. Doctor said 1 hour later and she would have died. Rehabilitation Center called and told me Mom would lose her bed if she was not released by hospital in 24 hours. They never ask was she ok or anything. She has nightmares every night and wakes up begging for water. I trusted this facility with my beautiful Mom.

Great, caring staff! Facility is beautiful and clean. Definitely would recommend this facility.
