I have been working with Stephanie from Sunflower Communities for well over a year now- it was such a relief to learn about their facilities as many of my clients are more difficult to place because they tend to have a lot of physical and mental health needs- I have clients in both their Elmore and Waconia locations and they do an excellent job!

To date we have several clients living at both Elmore and Nagel Assisted Living & Memory Care, all of them are well taken care of and thriving. Had it not been for their open mindedness and willingness to get to know our clients these individuals would have most likely been prematurely placed in nursing homes. As a county case manager working with individuals with behavioral health needs it has been refreshing to learn about Sunflower Communities. A couple of months ago Stephanie set up a tour for me at their Nagel building and I could not have been more pleased with the tour- a small community tucked in to downtown neighborhood of Waconia, that felt more like a home than a facility. I watched the staff as I walked around and noticed that while caring for the residents each of them were talking, joking and in general engaging with the residents. Overall I had an excellent experience and look forward to introducing my clients to their facilities.

I would like to start off by thanking the staff from Sunflower Communities- Elmore and Nagel Assisted Living & Memory Care for always calling us back when they say they will, for assessing our patients with open minds, and to Stephanie for coming to the hospital on countless occasions to meet with our patients to answer questions and share on-line photos of each community.
