The staff has always exceeded the level of care my parents have needed.

My brother has been a resident at this facility for fourteen months. The personnel are well trained and so compassionate. The food is delicious home cooking. His suite is plenty large and very bright and cheerful. We have convinced him this is his home and that has been easy because the people treat him like family. Nursing care is superb, they carefully keep track of his medical condition and report any issues to family. He gets his medications on time. There are plenty of activities if patients choose to participate. We love this place and are so grateful our brother is being cared for so well,

We moved my mom out of the memory care about a year ago and I'm thankful we did. She didn't receive the expected care, medicine administration was rarely made on time and staff were hard to communicate with when and if you could find them anywhere. We called several meetings to discuss the issues, but things never were fixed. My mom had a friend who was wheelchair bound and we would routinely wait 30~45 minutes for someone to show up after notifying with the wireless neck pendant used for help calls. A friend who had their mom across the hall from my mom in the memory clinic discovered bruising on her mom, and the staff when pressed for answers stated that she had fallen during a move. My friend was upset that no one communicated the incident to her family understandably. Her mom was already on hospice or she would have moved her too I was told. My mom's wheelchair bound friend is on the waiting list to get into The Fountains at Hosanna memory care where my mom is and the care there is phenomenal, in stark contrast to what we experienced at SSL. I am sorry to have to write a negative review but I hope to help others from placing their loved ones here. The facility was clean, and the meals were good which is why I gave it 1 star instead of none.

Every time I come to visit my aunt, I am greeted at the door by happy and friendly residents. There is a very special feeling of 'family' that seems to start at the top with the dynamic and creative staff who do a great job of getting the residents fully engaged in fun things to do that do not make age a barrier. What a concept!

Each time I visit I am impressed with how happy the residents are. The staff makes you feel welcome and they are so happy to be there. They are caring and compassionate and clearly love the residents. It isn't work for them, it's a calling guided by love. Really amazing to see a place happy from top to bottom.
