We were looking for a place that mom would feel safe, content and comfortable. White Pines of Blaine is a good fit. It is a beautiful and well maintained facility. The main rooms have a fireplace, overlook a pond and have nice places to be outside during warmer weather. The rooms are spacious. The food is good. Family is encouraged to come for meals and participate in activities. The staff always greet you with a smile and keep family informed with any issues or concerns. Very happy with the decision for mom to live there.

I would like to first thank Shala and the staff that came to visit my mother for the evaluation to get into White Pine. It was a blessing that my mother was allowed to spend the remaining days of her life in such a wonderful and caring place. My mother went from a place that was very confusing for the residents let alone the family and visitors, to your facility which is so beautiful, clean, comfortable, and ALWAYS had staff there ready to help with any needs of the residents and their families. From day one, the staff attended to her every needs and kept us informed on any and all changes that came up with my mother. When the time got closer to her passing, ALL of the staff were not only checking on my mothers comfort and well being constantly, but also our family as we stayed there around the clock with her. White Pines went above and beyond the typical care you would expect at a care facility and my family and myself will be forever grateful for the love and kindness the staff showed to us. I only wish we had know about White Pines before we went through the horrors of the other places. if and when I was to need that kind of care, this is where I want to go...Thank you all so very much for your kindness, care, and hard work keeping this facility what I consider the best in the state!

We DO NOT recommend this place for your loved one! Our loved one was found saturated through to her outer clothing. Witnessed med passerhanding memory care client her medications and inhaler in her hand to take on her own. Which spilled all over the table with others next to her. When we moved her once perfect pillow top mattress was now stainedwith urine all the way through to her box spring. We found the couchin a similar state. Staff on her floor was seen to be in gathering spacenot checking on client numerous times. We have since moved her.We were told these were isolated incidents, which we know couldn't be true since we visited often.

Unprofessional and uncaring: that is the way my family would describe the care our loved one received at the memory care facility. Our experience was that the attending staff were inattentive, and inadequately trained and supervised. Example: we found staff sleeping in the common area more than once. Special and important medical needs were not consistently attended to. Our loved one experienced weight loss which we attribute to a lack of attention by staff in the dining room. The facility, though fairly new, had various items in need of repair which were only repaired once we repeatedly complained. I could go on and on. We addressed our concerns with staff and management a number of times with spotty results and no follow-up. Within two weeks of admission, we began looking for other facilities, and moved our loved one out 30 days after admission. Once relocated, we notified White Pine that we felt we were due a refund as promised in their Satisfaction Guarantee, as promoted in our admission materials. After more than a month process, we were provided with no refund for reasons which we find bogus. Since moving our loved one to a different company's facility, the experience has been 100% better. We recommend you find facilities other than White Pine to receive quality care.

White Pine II is a lovely facility where my husband lived in a spacious twin room which provided some privacy because of a shared bathroom between the two residents. The common areas are clean and generally odorless. The upstairs men's unit especially provides good protection for those with a wandering issue.During my husband's twenty-three month stay, the actual care-giving staff seemed short - especially evenings and weekends and changed often, with a few exceptions. I understand that this is an industry-wide problem. This may have bothered me more than my husband and I am not aware of any harm resulting to residents because of it.I would recommend White Pine.
