Workers are rude. People on the phone are rude. When I got to the door to drop off something for my family member that was temporary there recovery, the person who answered the buzzing door was rude. I do not recommend bringing any of your family members here at all. This is not the first time I have encountered this.

My aunt moved into the assisted living after staying in their TCU. She was resistant to moving into an assisted living at first (after living in her house for 60 years) but she is so happy she did! At home she had become isolated and never wanted to leave the house. Now every time I call or visit her she is busy doing activities or on outings! She has meet some great friends at the community who she looks forward to seeing at lunch, bingo and she is even part of the bell choir. This has truly been a second chapter in her life and we have the staff at the Homestead to thank for that.

Homestead has severe problems with the care in their rehab facility. It seems that the staffs cellphones get more attention than the people they are supposed be caring for. My mother was there before she passed away and would call my sister crying because no one would answer her calls. She was left on a toilet for 45 minutes before anyone would bother returning. They would also punish those who preferred to eat their dinner in their room by holding off diner until everyone else ate and then finally feeding them after 7PM. Countless times my mother who was unable to walk would be forced to sit until the slow moving staff would either get up the energy to walk down the hallway to their room or until they got bored sitting on their phones.i have a friend whos mother was in the same facility and experienced the same problems. My friends mother fell and was told by the staff not to mention the fall. She also had a reaction to meds that affected her breathing which required an ambulance to be called. When they arrived, before they could take her to the hospital they needed to speak to the nurse about the meds she was given. It took EMTs 20 minutes to find the nurse. Same situation with my mother. She was once again forced to wait for a nurse to administer pain meds because the nurse went on a food run to Subway. Im angry at this place how my mother was treated and feel guilt allowing her to stay. The facility got paid because with the amount of staff its obvious that they do their best not to cut too deep into the profits. I honestly would not have my dog stay at this facility after what my mother went through.

Great place to live or receive transitional care. Therapy is amazing. Nursing staff are caring, kind and attentive to meet your individual needs. Beautiful place. Large rooms..Large bathrooms. Also a great place to work.
