Micheal Piagentini & Timothy Nye are caring individuals. Both of them, along with the caring staff at Sandyside have the resident's best interests at all times.

As a daughter I wanted to find a place that would provide love and care to both my parents. I am a health care provider myself and have traveled to many facilities throughout the metro detroit area. This is the second location for my parents to reside in. I cannot tell you how peaceful my mind is having my parents together and well cared for at sandy side. The staff are loving and caring and with little turnover..when you walk into the facility you are met with a family loving atmosphere and the smell of home cooked meals. My mother passed away while living here it was a very sad time for me. However the staff at sandyside became more like a family to me the love support and compassion I received was incredible. My father still lives at sandyside. The staff took him under their wing to provide support and love to him during his time of grieving..I am so happy to have found sandy side! I sleep well at night knowing my dad is well cared for. With my experience with multiple facilities I rate sandyside as number one...you can trust the administration and staff knowing your loved one is well cared for..I cannot say this about any other facility I have had experience with either professional or personal.

It was such a blessing that we found Sandyside. My father in law needed a special facility to keep a careful eye on him since he suffers from Alzheimers. Everything one here is so compassionate. My husband for the first time was able to leave him and know he was in good hands. Peace of mind is so important. This is a small, cozy, facility with very compassionate owners and staff.

I must say that I was more than pleasantly surprised with what I have seen and heard about Sunnyside. My friend is quite happy with their living situation and appeared to be so much happier than being at home, lonely, with nothing but leftovers throughout the week. Although the place is cozy, and not at all like a large, sometimes cold hospitals can be, my friend still made quite a few friends in a short time and had much to look forward to. I dont know why, maybe my own fears and what I had seen in movies, but I was expecting funny smells and sad faces. Not here. The place was refreshing and running like a well oiled ship. Tidy from top to bottom. Im 49 and I think the residents here (and staff) are having much more fun and much better food and activities in their daily living than I am. In fact, I would place a bet on it. Thank you to the Sandyside staff for making my friend so happy and making me feel so welcome in your community of close friends.
