Wonderful trip aboard the schooner INLAND SEAS. Our group of freshman high school girls from Chicago Hope Academy had no prior experience on a sailing vessel, but the ship's captain, Ben Hale, and his crew accommodated us with genuine hospitality. Jillian, the education officer, engaged our girls in numerous activities exploring the biology and environmental challenges of the Great Lakes. Marcell, the cook, keep us well feed; managing to include some of my favorite vegitarian dishes. Our 5 days aboard created friendships and expanded horizons in many directions. This was by far the best limnology field trip i went on during my junior year of highschool...the crew was great and it was so fun, and i will never feel such a sense of serenity again in a long time.

The crew were very friendly and made the trip fun. Even with no wind to sail by the crew kept it interesting and found ways to educate and keep the adults and kids engaged. Highly recommend.
