My mother was welcomed at Waltonwood University for a respite stay after leaving a sub-acute rehab facility. While she was there, we could not have been more pleased with her care. Matt Cortis, the executive director, worked closely with my mom and our family, helping us to coordinate her physical therapy visits and all other needs. The staff on the units were like none we have ever experienced before. They responded call lights in 2 minutes or less most times, never more than 4 or 5 minutes. They demonstrate a care, compassion and respect for all the residents. It is truly one of the most caring environments I have ever encountered in senior care. We will miss the whole bunch when her respite stay is over, it has been a pleasure.

I know too often staff does not get recognition as they deserve. I moved my mom into Waltonwood based on our experience. We looked at many (new) places but fell in love with waltonwood. First, our experience with Kim the Marketing Manager was top notch and superb. She was patient each time we came to see her for a tour (probably 4 different times or more). If it was not for her and her expertise & compassion we would have went elsewhere. What a pleasure to work with and our angel. She always checks in on our mom and we know she's in good hands with her. God bless her. Second, Kim introduced mom to some wonderful residents which helped. Third, Michele got my mom to participate in activities which we were unsure about. She is the energize bunny and it is nice to see mom doing things now. Last, Holly Dining Supervisor was sweet and helped my mom to make her comfortable and a good experience because it is scary knowing noone. I would recommend waltonwood as you will be well taken care of with these gals. Thank you to Kim especially for your time, patience and caring and also to Michele and Holly. Great team you have there. I hope the management sees this because they deserve it. Sincerely CL

I am a family member of a resident that lives here. Unfortunately I can not share her or my name in fear of management being mean to my father. When his lease is up which is soon thank god, I am moving him out of this awful place. You have to sign 1 year lease ! It is poorly managed by Matt Cortis. Staff are miserable there. I have seen this guy talk down to his staff and the residents. He is unprofessional and the worse manager Waltonwood has. My dad has been there for a few years. Please bring back the previous director Jeff! A+ he was ! Also, Jenny who is the assistant or business person (I do not know-she thinks she is in charge) is unprofessional and nasty. You can not talk to this lady without getting your head chewed off. What a disgrace! She is overheard swearing and yelling at the staff often. There are some really good people who have recently left or was fire which is common there. Residents/families see and hear everything. The upper management should take a look at this guy and Jenny as more residents are planning to move out because of the unprofessionalism and rudeness that is going on here. Residents are AFRAID to say anything.. Singh or whoever runs this place should be worried and ashamed of the unhappiness of staff and residents. Lets talk about the cleanliness. Mice running around. Residents including my dad continue having mice issues. Tell me, are 13 mice in an apartment that was caught normal? I think not. Disgusting. What a difference management makes. We loved it when dad moved in and now we cant wait until he moves out of that terrible place. BEWARE people. I do not recommend this place at all. Horrible management there. I can go on but I felt it important enough to write a review because I do not want other residents going through what we are going through right now. STAY AWAY!

I am very happy living at Waltonwood. The staff is very friendly and caring, I've make wonderful friends with residents, and the facility is comfortable and charming. Matt, our director, works very hard to keep everything running on an even keel. Other staff members are accommodating and are very helpful whenever needed. My new friends come from diverse backgrounds and there is never a dull moment. The facility is charming and reminds me of a lovely European hotel. Moving here was a change in my lifestyle, but it's a good change, and I've never regretted my decision to come here.
