A very pretty facility, and chronically understaffed. The people that work here are generally helpful and kind, but because there are not enough of them, the care suffers.

Ok....no place is perfect. They all are different. When we as guardians for our loved ones choose we often spend too much time looking at the amenities...luxury dining rooms, pools, game rooms etc. If you are looking for that there are plenty to choose from in our area. If however you are looking for a more family atmosphere for your loved one, then this the place. Our mother spent the last three years of her life in the care of people who loved her and they became her second family. They also were genuinely interested in all of us. Mom never was in her room. She was either in the lobby talking to residence and visitors or doing activities. She was happy when we came AND happy when we went away ! In todays world bigger is thought to be better too often. If love and support and quality care from staff is what you are looking for then I highly recommend Brighton Gardens.

My father was in the memory care unit, for 2 1/2 years. The facility is clean, plenty of activities, and cheerful surroundings. Mazie Pilut-Garbarz, director is always there to lend a ear and listen to your concerns. Maria Bumbuts, memory care diretor, keeps things in order and will help when possible. Dr. Kathleen Stepp is wonderful. Always takes care of any issues you and love one may have. Highly recommend her for your parents doctor. Most of all, the one person I will miss and goes over and above her job, is the nurse Charlene. Always has a kind word and if you need anything done, she is the one who makes sure its done.
