The Laurels of Mt. Pleasant

Be weary of bringing your loved one to this place... Seems to be all good prior to arriving...but then let the games begin. Was constantly told I would be going home before Christmas... Christmas comes and goes. January comes and goes. February comes and goes. March comes around, and finally I get to return back home. Lost out on 14 apartment opportunities because of The Laurels keeping me far beyond my initial discharge date, which was totally unacceptable. Now the good: There were a few decent nurses/CNA's there that were not only entertaining but nice to boot. It's too bad that I believe, none of them work there anymore however. Skylar was my favorite. Even bought her a coffee before my discharge day. The ladies who brought me to dialysis in the wee hours of the morning were also nice. Made a good friend while I was there as well. Popcorn fridays was something to look forward to. Jason Alexander went above and beyond while I was there, to make sure things were coordinated during my stay. I would have to say that the most entertaining part about being there, was watching a certain individual try to escape through the front door via wheel chair.

Everything was fine.

I like the nurses and the CNA's. I like the activities. Most of the time the food is good, cold sometimes, but good. They keep it nice and clean. I like that it's a smoking facility.
