Our mother lived at Maplewood for almost 3 years. Her decision to move there was based on the facilities, environment, and the fact that the residents seemed happy and the staff seemed to care about and connect with them. The aid who checked Mom in that first day knew exactly how to read her and ease her apprehension. Bingo, euchre, music and trivia programs got Mom involved and connected with other residents to the point where her kids had to schedule their visits around her events in the gathering room. Mom developed special relationships with staff members, who genuinely cared about her. The level of care she received from the folks at Maplewood was more than I expected. It was priceless.

My mother has been at Maplewood for 8 1/2 years and has enjoyed calling it home. When she first moved in she found the activities and friendshipsvery comforting. As she has aged and her health has declined my family has found the care she has received to be remarkable. Jan and the staff are great people who do care about my mom and make her feel loved. My mom has been at Maplewood for 3+ years and has enjoyed the fun activities like Euchre, Bingo, and crafts. She has also enjoyed trips to the casino and the musicians who come to entertain them. The staff is VERY caring and is always available when she needs them. They dispense her medications and check on her numerous times of the day. We were able to bring things from her house to make her room feel like home. My family is very happy with the care our mom receives here.

I couldnt be happier with my mother and my decision to make Maplewood her new home. The staff is very caring, friendly and treats the residents with kindness and compassion. Activities are provided to those who wish to participate and there is a Happy Hour every so often which my mother really enjoys! My stress as a daughter is lowered considerably knowing that my mother is in safe and caring environment.

We love Maplewood of Mt Pleasant! My dad has lived here for over 4 years and is very happy here. He lived at two other assisted living places that were more expensive and says the people, food, coffee and activities are the best here. We finally found him his happy place!
