West Hickory Haven Nursing Center

My mother was moved from MediLodge in Grand Blanc to West Hickory Haven in Milford in March 2018. My mother arrived in a very depressed state from poor Care at MediLodge. West Hickory Haven was very welcoming and helpful and you could tell that they genuinely care about their patients. Within a week, the difference in my mother was amazing. She had a smile on her face when I would visit and was very active in their activities. By week to the physical therapy was able to get my mother standing up for the first time in 2 years. Within a couple more weeks they had her walking! The staff really shows that they care and they do everything they can to make the residents feel at home. They have their own transportation van so they can take some of the residents out in the community for shopping and events. It doesn't really feel like a nursing home or when you're there. They have their own resident Council so that they can hear recommendations of the residents. I can't say enough good things about West Hickory Haven. I would definitely recommend that if your loved one needs short or long-term care that you turn to West Hickory Haven.

Our Mom has been at West Hickory Haven for 2 years now. We are very pleased with the entire experience. The staff is some of the kindest, most competent, and supportive people you could ask for. They are the best....period.

The staff are all very friendly and attentive, mom says the food is good, and everything looks and smells clean. 90 year old mom with dementia seems very happy and involved in lots of activities. I can ask any staff member abot a concern & they are already taking care of it. Great place!
