Oakmont Livonia has created a lovely, home-like atmosphere for our community's seniors. Throughout working with Jessica, director of activities, providing therapeutic touch services for the residents, I have discovered her genuine care and concern for the residents to be a breath of fresh air! Thank you so much for providing a beautiful place to live for our elders!

I am so glad that our family chose Oakmont for our mother to stay. She is always happy when I come to visit her every week. The meals are good, common areas attractive and homey and she has developed many friends. One of the things she most enjoys are the many different choices offered by activity director Julia.

My parent lived here for over 2 years and I cannot recommend this facility. Many, many items disappeared from her room and/or the laundry. Couldn't keep money there as it also disappeared, including the bingo money. Administration is severely lacking in people skills, their favorite line, 'this is independent living'. Save your money and find a better place for your loved one.So now on top of everything else, they call me a liar. Everything I've listed is indeed FACT! They just don't like to see bad reviews. My mom's sheets, towels and nightgowns disappeared at an alarming rate, every time I turned around I was buying new ones. Someone ended up with some really nice stuff. Their 'solution' was for me to do her laundry. After a month of this, I finally found out a credit to the rent was NOT forthcoming, it's a service we don't have to use. The housekeeping supervisor started doing laundry and supplying an inventory. That lasted a few weeks at which time she refused to continue. I had to inventory and take pics the night before her laundry day, then go back the next day to make sure everything came back. I will say this dramatically reduced the emergency clean ups (at $45 each). What a coincidence. Like I said originally, save your sanity, avoid this facility.
