This building and the staff have come a long way, I wouldn't have wanted to be placed any where else in Michigan, but Autumnwood of Deckerville

As a former employee of Autumnwood I can give them five stars and two thumbs up because this is a good nursing home and I would recommend this place over any other one out there.

While visiting my grandmother, a new patient there for after hospital therapy, I noticed a few areas of concern. They appear to be slightly understaffed; while visiting, we heard the woman in the room next to us had to wait a half hour to be helped off the toilet. While asking for something to settle my grandmother's stomach, (she was vomiting) an hour and a half passed before giving up and confronting the nurses desk, only to be told that she personally, the only nurse in that section, has 32 patients and can't just drop everything to attend to my grandmother. How is everyone suppose to get the care they need if the staff is stretched that thin? They do have a wide variety of activities for the residents to do and a majority of the staff seem kind, the understaffing is the main issue.
