The staff and care my loved ones recieves is wonderful. The staff is attentive and patient. However the food is awful. Not only does it taste horrible it smells bad.

I give this facility 0 stars. I wish we wouldnt have taken my dad to this facility for rehab after a hip procedure. The following examples are a few of the reasons why I wouldnt recommend this place.1-Average 18 minutes to answer a call light- many times over 30 minutes. Often my dad couldnt wait that long to get help to use the restroom and soiled himself while waiting. 2-He had 3 falls in the 20 days he was admitted.3-1 fall was a controlled fall out of a shower chair-where he was lowered to the floor. Note this fall was out of a shower chair at 230am! Yes, 230am. Rehab is about healing, and getting stronger. Seems counter productive to shower someone in the middle of the night.4-They said he was restless at night and kept trying to get out of bed. I dont doubt this, as it sometimes happens at home. Their solution was to get him out of bed and sit him in a wheelchair where he sat all night and then all day. After 3 nights he was so sleep deprived and confused and couldnt flow directions in therapy, didnt recognize his family and just stared off into space (something we have not seen before).5- The final straw for us to finally decide to take him home was due his last fall. He was in the hallway and fell out of a wheelchair while being supervised (remember thier solution to keephim safe in the middle of the night was to gethim out of bed and sit him at the nurses station).7-There is no communication between the PT/OT staff and the medical staff. As patients get stronger they should be encouraged to stand and do more during transfers to the bed and restroom. My dads mobility care was the same from day one to discharge. He went to 6 30-45 minute sessions of PT/OT per week and then sat in a chair or laid in bed the rest of the day. 8-I did complain, and I did talk to management/supervisors about my concern. They were always kind and wanted the best for my dad. It just never seemed to improve.9-To add insult to injury he left missing many of his clothing (his laundry was done by family).10- These are just the highlights. Please, please find another facility if you care about your loved one.

If i could give negative stars i would. But seeing you have to give one to even do a review, here we go. My father was released to Church of Christ Care Center after having a craniotomy for rehab. Within the first hour of him being in they're care he fell in his room. They seem to be upset with him amd me when they called to inform me of that. They kept being rude and telling him ' he can't get up, he needs to listen ' . Mind you he just had a 9 hour anurism surgery a week prior. I was upset and then get informed that this might not be the proper facility for him. I was confused as to why they would admit him here then? They have a bed alarm that are sensitve to weight shift but never used and barely checked on him while there. I understand no one is special or above anyone but just to peek in every 15 mins is not hard. For a edlerly man of 67 when this happened who didn't even know where he was, what happepend to him, and he has people being borderline abusive twards him. It was a very hard and extremely emotional time for me and honestly still am not over it a while later. I would not leave a dog here. This is honest to god from my heart. I felt as if I didn't get my father out of there he would have died. From the fall he had to get a bunch a more tests done, another hospitalal stay, only good was rehab facility transfer. Omg they had a ant problem in the middle of winter. Place was filthy and completely smelled of urine and feces. Everyone i encountered but for 4 people were just appallingly rude beyond human grade. I remeber a women eating a giant Bill Cosby sub sandwhich with items falling to the floor and just being left there in the nurses station. No compassion to you're loved one or what you may be going thru. At least in the wing or section my father was in. I thank God my father made it out of there alive. This was about two years ago. So please if you have even one shred of human decency really check this place and its employees over very well. I still wish they would get shut down. Ask the people staying there how it is amd how they are being treated. Church of Christ Care Center should be renamed Church of San Care Center.
