My mother has been a resident of Ashley Court in Brighton for 19 months and I've been so happy with her living there! I cannot tell you how secure I am in her living environment - it's a relief every single day. I am there several times a week since I live nearby and have gotten to know many of the caregivers. I have never seen anyone treat a resident with anything but respect. I am so grateful for the grace they show my mom and how they treat each resident like a special person. There are two activities coordinators who keep the residents as busy as they want to be. In building 3 where my mother resides, residents are fairly advanced with dementia but they have bowling, bingo, adult coloring, walking club, exercise, Friday afternoon 'popcorn and movie' and Thursday morning food club. In building 1, where residents are more cognizant and need less assistance, the activities are geared toward them. They play more complex games, have pen pals with local elementary students, study different cultures, and are challenged mentally to keep them interested.I am alerted when there is any kind of issue with my mom; this might be if she's getting a rash, or if they think Mom is getting a cold. I have good communication with Lori, the LPN at Ashley Court, and feel confident that policies are put in place and followed. The caregivers here do not make much money at all, yet they are dedicated, loving, patient and committed to the residents. It's hard to describe my gratitude to each and every one of them.I highly recommend Ashley Court of Brighton for anyone looking for a memory care home for a loved one.

My mother was a resident here for two months.. my mother has dementia, and was a fall risk therefore had to where an alarm. I would stop in at night on a regular basis and would always catch the staff laying down in the common area watching tv. Several times on my surprise visits my mom would be yelling that she had to go to the bathroom and her alarm would be off. The short story is that she did have a fall, a large discolered knot on her head as a result. ..two weeks later I received a call at work letting me know that she was at u of m hospital with second degree burns on her legs because of a hot tea spill....needless to say I had to find a new place. Ashley court has not heard the last of me....I recently found out that this facility was on the news due to accusations of abuse to the residents..YOU ACTUALLY RESPONDED STATING YOU DIDN'T KNOW WE WERE UNHAPPY...JUST FOR THE RECORD WHEN SOMEONE SUDDENLY RELOCATES THEIR MOTHER TO A DIFFERENT FACILITY THIS MEANS THEY'RE NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR SERVICE....HELLO... ALSO I SEE YOU DID NOT RESPOND TO THE TENNIS BALL SIZE KNOT ON MY MOTHER'S HEAD...ONE MORE THING..READ WHAT YOUR OWN EMPLOYEES ARE SAYING ON 'GLASS DOOR. COM'

Stay as far away from this place. Not enough staff, belted my father in a wheelchair, when he could walk with a walker. Food is the worse. Do not recommend this place if you care about your loved one. Check out what happened to their other facility in Livonia.
