Since my parents moved into the facility a year ago the friendliness of the staff has improved and since COVID-19 started the staff is paying regular attention to checking in on them. The billing still needs improvement: as per the contract the monthly invoice is to come out on the 1st of the month and be paid by the 10th of the month. It is always up to myself or dad to ask for the invoice each month - it very rarely comes automatically either by mail or email. In the past it has been incorrect quite a bit of the time and needs adjustment or an explanation by the staff. However, this seems to be improving.The facility is always working on providing a variety of food choices which is good but often times it arrives cold or overdone (this is per my parents comment as I visit to share a meal infrequently). Prior to COVID-19, the facility did a really great job of providing activities and entertainment for the residents and their families.

My father has been a resident of Traditions of Dedham for the past five years. The transition to assisted living can be a difficult path, for both the resident and the entire family, especially when the move is sudden and unexpected. My mother, Rita McKenna, moved in to Selleck Woods in Darien, CT over the summer. The facility is new and gorgeous. Barbara Davis and her staff were first class in helping us through the process. It was our first time and she was wonderful, educational, and patient throughout the process. My mother is well taken care of, very active with all the programs, and adjusting very well to life at Selleck Woods. Being a new facility, it is filling up nicely with all new people to the community. We visit often and everyone is very hospitable. We highly recommend Selleck Woods. Mary Stockdale
