Very nice place and caring people. With regards to the previous comment. My Aunt had her Dr prescribe any needed medications. Wasn't the job of the assisted living. Activities is an important part of what is most important to my Aunt's day. She's happy and safe and in good hands.

Excellent Facility with Caring Staff. My mother moved to Sunrise Rockville Assisted Living in February 2015 from a different facility(which I will not name). The difference was like day and night. The staff at Sunrise Rockville(SR) is simply excellent and take great care of Mom. Communication at the previous facility was a constant problem. In contrast, at SR the staff(from the Director Clinton , to the Director of nursing, to the Assisted Living director) are always quickly response to questions & concerns. The real super stars are the Care Managers who directly take care of their clients with skill & compassion. My family and I can highly recommend Sunrise Rockville with well deserved five Stars. The place looks really nice, but they heavily drug the elderly people here to reduce their activity so that as few staff as possible are needed to watch over them. My mother was in here from 1999 to 2004, and was on the top floor for those with advanced senility. They use high-dose sedatives like neuroleptics to render their inmates as immobile as possible so they'll all stay put in one common room so only one staff member is needed to watch over them all. In contrast, she was previously in an assisted-living community in Florida where there was no high-dose drugging program and folks were free to move about as they wished over a much wider area. Respect of basic human dignity and ethics were like day and night between the two facilities.
