My Mom, who suffers from dimentia, moved into the memory care unit at Broadmore two months ago. She is amazingly well cared for. I pop in unexpectedly and she is always bathed, dressed and interacting with caregivers and other residents. When she was at home, she wanted to sleep the days away. The first day I went here to check it out(without an appointment) Andrea, who is in charge of marketing, approached me with an awesome greeting and took me on a tour of the entire place explaining everything and was very welcoming, along with the rest of the staff. The other places I went just smiled, handed me a packet and sent me on my way. My mother was initially very resistant about going into ANY facility. Now, when I take her out to eat or for another activity, she is anxious to get back and when we pull in the parking lot she says 'we're home I like it here'. Jeff, the executive director, is kind and caring and very hands on with everything. Bonnie, a knowledgeable RN, is the wellness director and is also kind and caring and always available for consultations. All the caregivers are sweet and work themselves extremely hard to provide care and respect to the residents. I highly recommend this facility and feel as though they try to provide a family atmosphere and keep the residents active and involved. I honestly think my mother's state of mind and condition have improved in the short time she's been there.

Fantastic and caring staff, they really make you feel like home. The facility is very clean and the rooms are not super big but very nice.

So sad to see my dear old neighbor in this place. I visit every other day and have only seen one staff member. He can't move much so stays in bed or his wheel chair. Everytime I go he is starving and so thankful we bring him food and hot coffee. Never has water or anything in his room. The last time I stopped in there were no sheets on his bed and he was just laying on comforter. He has been there for weeks and they still haven't put a cable box on his tv though we keep asking. The room has not been vacuumed since he moved in and I am so sad to see the conditions of his bathroom. Would love to get him out of here, but sadly it is not up to us. Please do not send your loved ones here.

Mom is in the Memory Care Unit here. The staff from top to bottom knows her, interacts with her and treats her with complete respect while at the same time ensuring that she takes care of herself and is taken care of without making her feel incompetent. An amazing feat that was impossible before she moved here. I highly recommend these amazing people! The facility itself is also lovely. Lots of recreation, interaction and outdoor spaces to both see and visit. Mom especially loves their food! Very much a small town homey feel.

The staff at Broadmore are compassionate individuals that made a unique transition calm and easy for everyone involved. The admission staff was responsive, generous, and worked extra hard to make their newest resident feel welcomed. The nursing staff was competent and ready to provide individualized care to every person in their facility. The activities and dietary staff were bright and pleasant, quick to introduce themselves to their new resident. The executive director even took the time to sit and get to know the new resident. The move-in process was not heavily monitored, allowing families to adjust at their own pace. There are limited restrictions and rules about the private apartments, so each person can really personalize their own space. The activities schedule is packed with fun ideas that cater to the interests of the residents. The meals are uniquely prepared with wonderful choices for the picky-eaters. The 'Living Room' is spacious and welcoming to all residents, equipped with a large TV, beautiful piano, and house bird! Overall, Broadmore offers a lot for their reasonable price. They are a wonderful service to Washington County. I would not hesitate to refer another resident to them in the future.
