Somerford House Frederick

THANK YOU Somerford House Frederick staff. My mother recently had to move from independent living to assisted living. This was quite an overwhelming transition. The staff at Somerford House Frederick was so supportive and available during this entire process. While Somerford is not a large complex, it is also not that small. However, the manner in which the staff is available for both resident and family and how each person is made to feel unique and special is amazing. A huge shout out to Josh who made sure all of my mother's treasured photographs were hung and in place before she moved in. The look of pure joy on my mother's face when she saw her personal mementos on the wall was priceless. Chris who made the intake process so easy and personal. She was my first contact at Somerford. She set the tone for warm and genuine. And Robyn, who asked about my mother in detail to see how she can help her adjust and become part of the community and then followed up with a one on one lunch with my mother to get to know her better. THANK YOU all. My mother is now in a safe and caring environment. She is well taken care of and I can finally stop worrying, knowing she is in good hands.

Our mom is so happy at Somerford House. She moved in a little over a week ago and has never looked back. Everyone has been so welcoming and encouraging. The staff has been kind and helpful. She enjoys the food, the activities, and other residents. She says she loves it and says this is the right place for her! We are so grateful that she is happy, well cared for, and safe. We have set our worries aside and truly enjoy a refreshed relationship as her children.

Moved my Grandmother to Somerford House yesterday and I must say everyone we've come in contact with has been wonderful. Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. It's always a tough decision moving a loved one from Independent Living to Assisted Living and Chris really put me at ease with my decision. The whole process went very well. Josh has been so helpful as well and got us set up with a bed frame last minute when the one we were going to bring fell apart. We live in Whittier and are so glad to have such a wonderful place right here in our 'backyard'.

Thanks for all and God bless.Update: My Mother has now been at Somerford for more than a year. She is happy living amongst all the caring staff and other residents. She is kept active and engaged and is watched over by the nursing staff and aides. I am so pleased that she is comfortable. Kudos and thank you to all the staff at Somerford!

My father has been at Somerford for several years and we are extremely happy with the care and attention he receives from all the staff. The staff keeps us informed of any changes or situations, they are wonderful.
