The best word to describe VA in Abingdon is class. They are so professional, and truly care about the service they are providing. Honestly, its as if they treat their patients like family rather than clients. Thats what makes the difference. JP is tremendous, and really understands the challenges of the patients and their families. Undoubtedly, his efforts have touched the lives of many and helped relieve the stress that elder care can cause a family. Its never easy when you are faced with that situation, but VA makes all the difference in the world.

Totally unreliable. Owner makes excellent sales pitch but after contract is signed he is a ghost in the wind! Would have to call the corporate office to actually get the owner to return phone calls. My family signed up for the initial trial package that is two weeks long with 6 visits lasting 4 hours each. After a weeks of no show care givers and an absent owner we canceled the contract only getting 3 visits. We paid for the more skilled caregiver who was supposed to be at minimum a certified medical assistant and the woman that did actually show up 3 times albeit very nice she was in no way skilled, nor did she have any geriatric experience. Would not recommend this franchise location in anyway. I cannot speak for how other locations are managed but the Abingdon MD location is a joke.

FIVE STARSAlthough there is a time frame for getting started, it certainly was necessary in order to meet with the supervisor and then the worker assigned to our family. As always, there were 'bumps' in getting adjusted and on a routine, but the quality of care, enthusiasm and joy we receive was well worth any needed adjustments along the way. Our Angel does an outstanding job and all my family members love her and appreciate the work she does. Truly a blessing added to our lives by bringing her into our home to assist us in the care of our parents.

The owner contacted my friend immediately when she needed help. The caregiver is still there doing a fantastic job, and has almost become part of their family. She is very reliable and caring.

My Dad needed an Angel, JP's agency provided that Angel to our family. We have been blessed with our Dad having good health until the end stages of his life. JP's RN, Amber, was wonderful supervising my Dad's care when needed and keeping up on the changes in his condition. Our Angel was truly an Angel. My Dad was a Veteran and JP being a Veteran as well made my Dad feel very comfortable when he visited.
