The Guest House

My Mom has lived here for 10 years and its ups and downs, but for retired folk with light memory loss and nervous issues its a very decent place! Much nicer & larger area to move around than similar places further down Florida Blvd and cleaner. Alot of workers come and go just like most places, but some here are dedicated for years here and i just want to thank those !!!!!!!!

This is by far the worst and most inhumane treatment of patients, patients who have no voice or capability of being their own advocates, I have ever witnessed in my entire life. The staff are absolutely deadpan, indifferent, and cold to the patients with the exception of 2 individuals. My father spent nearly a year of hell in this facility and I cant even fathom what would have happened to him if our family wasnt there on a daily basis. Absolute, blatant neglect. The staff (with the exception of 2 employees), additionally, are profoundly rude and dishonest. On many occasions, my family and I witnessed nurses and CNAs not using hygenic practices or aseptic techniques when changing dressings, someone (who never admitted it) accidentally ripped out his catheter, daily would leave him sitting/laying in excrement, and boldly lie and lack complete accountability about the mishappenings and care (or lack there of) of the patients. When asking for assistance with even the most menial tasks expect to be met nothing less than the utmost disdain.I dont even know how these people sleep at night.Oh, and, due to their lack of hygiene, he contracted MRSA there. Thank Heaven we have had him moved as soon as a better facility had an opening.

Absolutely horrible place to leave a loved one. I found out the hard way. After my father received poor care here I decided to have him moved. He mysteriously died the night before he was to be transferred to the new facility. That was no coincidence but almost impossible to prove because of my father's health. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE IF YOU LOVE THEM. IF THEY ARE THERE ALREADY YOU HAD BETTER MAKE A LOT OF SUPRISE VISITS.

My husband with Dementia was here last year. The help and staff where awful.

Understaffed and slow to attend the people here that can't help themselves. Everyone here is trained to do the job. Yet the torch just keeps being passed.
